I am committed to doing the right thing when it comes to how I collect, use and protect your personal data. That’s why I’ve developed this privacy and cookies policy, which is outlined below, to comply with the new GDPR laws in place from 25 May 2018.
When you fill in the Contact Form on my website, the information comes through to my email account (on both my password secured mobile phone and home computer) so that I can best deal with your enquiry. The form will ask for your name, email address, a contact number (optional) and room for you to write the details of your enquiry. Please be assured that none of these details will ever be passed on to any third parties. You will then need to tick the box to consent to me using your data to respond to your enquiry. I don’t have any website registration or subscription lists, so you will never be contacted unless you request it.
Should you become a customer, your address and contact details will be taken so that I can come to tune or service your piano and your details will then transfer on to my physical paper invoicing system. These invoices are stored in a secure, locked cabinet inaccessible by any third parties and kept for the time span as required by HMRC for business record and tax purposes. My invoices also now include a consent statement for the processing of your personal details and again the reassurance that these details will not be passed on to any third parties.
This website uses cookies which track behavioural activity and number of visits to the website so that I can better understand and improve the information and services I offer through it. This is also important for fraud prevention and for your own browsing safety. It does not take your personal details from the contact form for usage anywhere else.
You can request to see what personal information of yours I have on file at any point and free of charge by emailing me at paul@paulshearman.co.uk
If you have any questions regarding my Privacy Policy, please feel free to contact me.
