Piano tuning is a very fine skill and I am proud to be a member of the Piano Tuners’ Association, which is the highest standard of testing for piano tuners’ in the UK.
There are around 220 strings inside your piano – getting each string into tune is one thing, but the tuner also has to achieve tuning stability so that the tuning pins stay where you want them. This is a skill that only comes with experience and practice!
My tuning prices typically range from £70 to £90 and I currently tend to tune on Mondays and Wednesdays and some Saturday mornings subject to a weekend surcharge. Early evenings can be available but are also subject to a small surcharge – these appointments are perfect if you are out at work during the day. I can also quote for any servicing and repair work.
